Enjoy the last days of summer with this fresh, organic watermelon recipe from Meyer Farms.
- 5 cups diced Meyer Farms Organic watermelon, seeds removed
- 6 ounces gin, optional
- 8 tablespoons lime juice
- 1⅓ cups ginger ale, divided
- Lime wedges, for garnish
- Puree the watermelon in a blender, strain, and empty into ice cube trays.
- Freeze at least 4 hours. Once frozen, place watermelon cubes into a shaker or blender.
- Add gin, if using, and lime juice. Shake vigorously or blend slowly until cubes begin to melt.
- Empty into glasses leaving enough room to top with ginger ale.
- Add lime wedge for garnish. You can also add mint.
